Local Anesthesia

dog local anesthesia

If your pet requires a minor surgical or diagnostic procedure, we may administer a local anesthetic to manage pain effectively. For instance, during a biopsy, where a small tissue sample is surgically extracted for examination, we commonly use a local anesthetic. This type of anesthetic induces a temporary loss of sensation in the specific area where the procedure occurs. In addition to the local anesthetic, we might also use a sedative or an anti-anxiety medication to help keep your pet calm throughout the procedure.

Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns regarding your pet’s local anesthesia or the scheduled procedure.
